This paver patio is loaded with a pergola, grill station, fire pit, water feature and a double seating wall! The stones used for this project were made by Belgard. This space was designed to have a separate fire pit and dining area while still maintaining a cohesive look.
When our design team meets with a prospective client, they like to chat about the purpose of the space. Will you entertain? How many guests do you usually host? What kind of dining furniture do you want to have? All of these questions help our designers determine the appropriate square footage for your outdoor living space.
Of course, everyone wants their patio to look good but a design plan incorporates so much more than just that! The design has to be customized to the homeowners needs, and the space needs to be structurally sound to withstand the test of time. At Hinkle Hardscapes, we stand by our work and offer a 5-year warranty on all of our paver projects. That should speak for itself!
Every patio loves to be accompanied by a fire pit and seating wall. Fire pits allow you to enjoy your space for several more months out of the year. These homeowners opted for a wood burning fire pit. Our clients also have the option to have a gas fire pit, but wood burning is often preferable due to the classic campfire aroma.
If you want to give your patio that “little extra something” a soldier course border is a great way to accomplish that! These homeowners selected Belgard’s Urbana Stone in Brittany Beige and Holland Stone in Charcoal. We’re loving the result!
What kind of patio do you have without a space to grill some delicious meals? These homeowners love their smoker, so of course it was incorporated into the design! The grill station is made with Belgard’s Universal Weston Wall stone in Brittany Beige. The concrete counter top was made using a beautiful, rich, charcoal shade.
A custom cedar pergola is our favorite way to use vertical space! This pergola was hand made by our team of Element Specialists. These are the guys who really excel at projects that have fine detail.
A lot of our clients end up stringing lights along the side of the pergola. This allows them to enjoy the space well into the night. Who doesn’t want a few more hours to party?
Here’s a closer shot of the grill station. The design included plenty of room for bar stools to be added.
We used Belgard’s Weston Wall stone in the shade Brittany Beige to make the fire pit, grill station, seating wall, and columns.
A sink was added to the grill station to make outdoor food prep a breeze! A drink rail was added to serve as a buffet.
If you want a unique outdoor living space, consider asking your designer for a unique shape for your patio. Don’t feel limited to a standard shape!
The homeowners added potted plants throughout the space to really jazz it up. We’re admittedly a big fan!
These steps are lined with the same border that was used along the patio. It really makes them stand out from the rest of the patio! Not only is this beautiful, but it’s also much safer. People are more likely to notice a step if it’s in a different color from the main portion of the patio.
A water feature is a perfect addition for those who are looking for a space to unwind and relax. You’re able to start your morning with a cup of coffee, the news paper, and the trickling sounds of water. Or maybe you’d love to read a book with the ambient sound of free flowing water in the background. Whatever reason you can find, most of our clients love the idea of a water feature.
A seating wall is a great addition to a patio with a fire pit. For one, it eliminates the need for a lot of excess furniture. A seating wall is permanent and will allow you to host a slew of guests. There’s no worrying about stained or wet cushions!
