When my wife and I were looking for someone to build our retaining wall, Seattle Rockeries stood out. All reviews were stellar, giving them 5-star ratings. Well, after they built us a beautiful 120 foot long by 12 feet high, three-tiered retaining wall, we felt compelled to write our own review. Harry, Benjamin, and their crew are awesome. They showed up on time every day (and there were some nasty ones) and plowed through the project with camaraderie, skill, respect, and professionalism. They ripped out the thick grove of blackberry bushes and ivy throughout the entire hillside and created a stunning multi-level side yard for us. The project took a little over three weeks and they steadily worked their butts off. It was a real pleasure to go through this experience with them, always eager to accommodate our needs. They stuck 100% to their bid and time frame, even finishing ahead of schedule. We cannot say enough wonderful words to express our satisfaction with this crew. They are great guys and we plan to hire them again in the future. Seattle Rockeries is top-notch. We give them 5 stars and 2 thumbs up!
Harry and his team are great. Super knowledgeable, and skilled! Their price is fair, and the quality of work is amazing. We had a complicated situation where an 8 ft rockery wall in a steep slope area needed a repair. After numerous contractors coming by and simply giving us a bid based on their take on the repair work, Harry was the first and only contractor who told us we need a geotechnical engineer to devise the repair plan, as well as a permit from the city. This saved us from getting fined by the city, and tens of thousands of dollars to redo the construction. During an excruciatingly painful year and a half of the permit process, Harry always responded quickly to all of my random questions and continued to do so before and during the construction. He squeezed us in to get the work completed before the deadline set by the city. Highly recommend!!
Seattle Rockeries did a fantastic job on our project. Harry was willing to meet me when convenient for me to discuss the project and create a quote. He was very diligent about making sure the work being done was to our specifications throughout the process. The crew was very professional - the end result looks great! I'll be hiring Seattle Rockeries for my next stone/brick project.
Harry and his team were amazing. Not only did they have the most competitive estimate but they were available within the week to start the project. The project got a bit bigger than expected and yet he still stuck to his estimate! They finished a huge paver patio within a week and it turned out beautifully. Everyone on his team was so sweet and worked with us each step of the way to make sure it was exactly what we wanted. They even added French drains along the side of the house to help us with unrelated draining issues. The service was excellent and Harry was always available to answer any questions or make changes on the fly. He is a good, honest businessman and I would recommend him and Seattle Rockeries as a whole, to anyone looking to do a project on their home.
We had such a great experience with Harry and his team. We had them replace several retaining walls (some failing, some just for an aesthetic reason) and build us two patio spaces with pavers and they were so helpful from the beginning to the end. Harry guided me through the (long) permitting process with the city and his team was able to start not too long after we finally got the permit. Communication was great and Harry and his team gave great advice on the best plan for our yard. We are thrilled with the result and would hire them again in a heartbeat.
Highest Recommendation for Seattle Rockeries After working with a large landscaper at an unreasonable price, with little imagination, and lots of frustration, we decided to take our backyard renovation into our own hands and looked for a company that could work with us. Our project was large but not complicated. We wanted to terrace a hill, replace and add drainage, replace an existing patio, and find someone with the vision to help us execute a rough vision. We looked at HomeAdvisor and decided to give Seattle Rockeries a try. From the first meeting with Harry, we knew we had found the perfect fit. Harry is an amazing guy! No matter what our questions -design, lay-out, structural, logistical, time-line, permitting - Harry took the time to explain. He worked with us on every request, even when we wanted to change the plan, add more work, remove trees, and modify the scope of the project. He and his team were creative in design and solutions and were flexible as the project progressed. On top of that, Harry employs a professional, highly-skilled, experienced team. No matter what we threw at them, they accommodated it and even improved our original plans over and over. Ben, the backhoe expert, created a stunning set of rockeries carefully selecting and placing every stone. Domingo created two beautiful patios. Every member of his team was on time, worked incredibly hard, and left the work site clean and usable at the end of each day. We thoroughly enjoyed having them on our property for the month that they helped us. We cannot say enough about our experience with Seattle Rockeries and are recommending them to everyone we know. And on top of that, their price was among the lowest of the companies we investigated, even with all the additional work we added.
Harry came out and gave us an estimate on a Friday. It was very reasonable and competitive. The next Thursday they began construction. They built a 44-foot retaining wall a set of set beautiful rock stairs and another 39-foot retaining wall. Lastly and most wonderfully they put in a 12 x 9 slate patio. The team was courteous and professional. Harry was great to work with, he did several alterations from the original bid with no extra charges. I even enjoyed the company. Overall we are so delighted with the fabulous transformation of our yard. From steep weed-covered eyesore to this beautiful usable space.
